Ugbade: Musa must apologise to Siasia

Following the disappearance of Flying Eagles captain, Musa Mohammed, from the camp of the national U23 team before their All Africa Games qualifier against Zambia, Flying Eagles Musa Mohammed assistant coach Nduka Ugbade has stated that the defender must apologize to Dream Team VI coach, Samson Siasia, for his behaviour. The 18-year-old is believed to have left the team’s camp to travel abroad for trials without Siasia’s consent, and Ugbade said the player’s behaviour was unacceptable and implores him to apologize to the U23 coach. “Musa’s behavior is highly unacceptable and he must apologize to Coach Samson Siasia,” Ugbade stated. “What he did is bad and shouldn’t be encouraged at all. There’s no reason for him to have left the camp the way he did, and without the knowledge or consent of the coach. “That is indiscipline and I think he must apologize first of all before anything else. Sometimes these young lads get misled.” Speaking further, Ugbade added that seeing fellow U20 team-mates signing professional contracts with foreign clubs, plus pressure from parents and agents, could turn a player’s head. “When you hear the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Chidiebere Nwakali, Musa Yahaya and so on signing big contracts abroad, plus the pressure from their parents and agents, it can turn a player’s head and make him do stupid things, but they must learn to be patient and wait for their time,” he added.
