Bayelsa State former acting Governor's wife abducted
Unknown gunmen Monday kidnapped 48-year old Martha Nestor Binabor, the spouse of a former acting governor of Bayelsa State, at her business premises in Agbura community, a suburb of Yenagoa, the state capital. A statement by the State Police Command spokesman, Asinim Butswat, said the bandits, who were disguised as military men, arrived at the premises of SeleyiboMulti-Global Coy Ltd and called Madam Binabor to the company's gate for a talk. “They forced her into an ash-coloured Toyota Camry Car, Reg No. unknown, chasis No. JTDBE32K620105302, and drove to Otuokpoti Sand Dump in Ogbia LGA. They set the Toyota Camry Car ablaze, took the victim into a waiting speedboat and sped off to an unknown destination.” He added that the Marine Police, Joint Task Force and the anti-kidnapping unit had been alerted, and a massive manhunt launched to rescue the victim and arrest the abductors. Bayelsa State is one of kidnap dems in the oil-rich delta. Last week, two Lebanese nationals working for a construction firm were kidnapped and the two policemen attached to the firm, killed.
